I love how there’s no expectation for a tip or product selling, just advice and recommendations for products they don’t get commission on (like sunscreen you can get at Walmart.) FAQs

Will visiting The Only Facial cause me to breakout?

The Only Facial provides an exfoliation and detox for your skin. On rare occasion, it may stimulate a post-treatment breakout. As part of your facial, we will use a high frequency wand to control bacteria and decrease inflammation. If you have any post-treatment breakouts you can stop by to have the area treated again at no charge.

Will dermaplaning cause my hair to regrow in a coarse and stubbly fashion?

Some people believe shaving hair causes it to grow back thicker and darker, but this is not the case! Dermaplaning will not cause the vellus hair on your face to grow back thicker or darker. Initially re-growth after dermaplaning may feel slightly different because the hair has been cut straight across. Dermaplaning does not affect the hair growth cycle.

After the vellus hairs are removed for the first time your skin will feel much smoother, and when the hair grows back you may be more likely to notice it (even though it was there before). When your skin is smooth, your products can more easily penetrate your skin and your make-up will go on better!

How often do I need The Only Facial?

Did you know that our skin produces new cells every month? New skin cells travel from the lowest layer of your epidermis to the top layer, where they shed off to reveal healthier, younger, ‘glowing’ skin. The problem? As you age, your skin cell renewal slows down, and you begin to build up dead skin. Dead skin = dull skin.

When you come see us you can expect an intense exfoliation and detox for your skin, getting rid of dead skin, and stimulating your cell turnover rate with regular sessions to keep it turning over on an ideal 4-6 week cycle.

Why does my skin seem dry after my facial?

It’s completely normal to experience a bit of dryness after your facial. During our sessions, we accelerate your cellular turnover rate and slough off dead skin to reveal the new, healthy skin underneath. As a result, you may experience 3-5 days of dryness and mild flaking, which is completely normal! If you have dryness and/or flakiness, use a natural oil for hydration until the barrier function is restored.

As your skin gets used to The Only Facial your recovery process will decrease due to the health of your skin increasing!
