I recently had the pleasure of receiving the signature 11-Step Facial with Cassandra at the new spa, and I was absolutely blown away.

She is a truly exceptional aesthetician who focuses on what your skin actually needs. She didn't just follow a routine; she took the time to do a thorough skin analysis and customized several steps of the treatment.

Her technique is both meticulous and incredibly relaxing, and the sheer amount of care she puts into each of the 11 steps is evident. My skin was glowing, hydrated, and perfectly balanced immediately afterward, and the results have lasted. She made my first visit to the new spa a phenomenal experience. I have had many professional facials before so maybe my opinion is based on how amazing those were but idk. I appreciate a honest review so this is what I want to give. I must say I am very easy to please and I don’t complain often. This facial was simply not worth the money. It wasn’t very relaxing. My esthetician said someone used his room so he was missing things and the system didn’t let him know he had an appointment so he was caught off guard when I came in. Not his fault and I felt bad that he was so scattered because of me. The system needs to be changed so he is made aware of his new appts asap, not when they show up. Mason was lovely and I booked another appointment with him but after getting into my car and smelling my face, I just don’t feel like the money was worth it. (the smell was not pleasant from whatever was put in my face).

The cleanse was just water on a cotton ball.
I have tattooed eyebrows but I still have hair and nothing was done to them. I had to pluck them when I got home. I was given an enzyme peel and not a chemical peel. Idk the difference but it felt nothing like the chemical peels I have had in the past. I don’t think you should advertise it as a chemical peel if it’s not that.

The high frequency thing smelt so gross. The LED light therapy was just a bright light. I thought it was going to be a red light treatment for some reason. None of the products smelt nice. I actually had to wash my face when I got home because of the smell that was left on my face.

The massage and microneedling were the only things done worth any money. Again, Mason was awesome and I highly recommend him, but this facial was not worth $140. I much rather go somewhere else and pay more for less to smell better than I did coming out of this facial.

It felt like the Temu version of a facial.

FAQs

Will visiting The Only Facial cause me to breakout?

The Only Facial provides an exfoliation and detox for your skin. On rare occasion, it may stimulate a post-treatment breakout. As part of your facial, we will use a high frequency wand to control bacteria and decrease inflammation. If you have any post-treatment breakouts you can stop by to have the area treated again at no charge.

Will dermaplaning cause my hair to regrow in a coarse and stubbly fashion?

Some people believe shaving hair causes it to grow back thicker and darker, but this is not the case! Dermaplaning will not cause the vellus hair on your face to grow back thicker or darker. Initially re-growth after dermaplaning may feel slightly different because the hair has been cut straight across. Dermaplaning does not affect the hair growth cycle.

After the vellus hairs are removed for the first time your skin will feel much smoother, and when the hair grows back you may be more likely to notice it (even though it was there before). When your skin is smooth, your products can more easily penetrate your skin and your make-up will go on better!

How often do I need The Only Facial?

Did you know that our skin produces new cells every month? New skin cells travel from the lowest layer of your epidermis to the top layer, where they shed off to reveal healthier, younger, ‘glowing’ skin. The problem? As you age, your skin cell renewal slows down, and you begin to build up dead skin. Dead skin = dull skin.

When you come see us you can expect an intense exfoliation and detox for your skin, getting rid of dead skin, and stimulating your cell turnover rate with regular sessions to keep it turning over on an ideal 4-6 week cycle.

Why does my skin seem dry after my facial?

It’s completely normal to experience a bit of dryness after your facial. During our sessions, we accelerate your cellular turnover rate and slough off dead skin to reveal the new, healthy skin underneath. As a result, you may experience 3-5 days of dryness and mild flaking, which is completely normal! If you have dryness and/or flakiness, use a natural oil for hydration until the barrier function is restored.

As your skin gets used to The Only Facial your recovery process will decrease due to the health of your skin increasing!
